how to commission me

Thank you so much for your interest in my art! If you'd like to commission a digital drawing or painting from me, please read the information I provide here carefully before contacting me with a request. If you have any questions about the process, my prices, or want to discuss a larger/commercial project you can send me an e-mail at [email protected]!First, please decide on a style you'd like to commission me for.Once you've decided on a style, you can place a commission request on Artistree including a detailed description of your request, ideally with reference images. I will get back to you to let you know whether I accept your commission and ask potential questions I might have. Once I am clear on the details, I will quote you a price. After payment, I will proceed to produce a rough sketch for you to approve before moving forward with your commission.If a payment hasn't been made within 10 days, I will assume you have changed your mind and your slot will no longer be guaranteed.Please note that this is not first come, first served. Always let me know if you have a deadline for the project! A very short one (under 7 working days) will incur a Rush Fee of up to 100%. You can always request to know where you are in the queue.A tip is not required but always appreciated. I use ko-fi as a tip jar!All my prices are in Euro (€).Artistree charges clients a platform fee of 6.5%. If the price of the commission is less than $100, an extra $2.60 USD is added. complexity fees & backgrounds

Components that significantly increase the time I spend on your commission warrant a Complexity Fee. Non-human characters (other than Garrus Vakarian), armor, small animals, elaborate clothing or props such as weapons etc all apply for this fee. Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions about this!As for backgrounds:Inky Artwork-tier commissions come with a standard simple background in a solid color. A transparent background is also possible.'Gently Rendered' and Painted Artwork both come with an accent background by default (i.e. a geometrical element, halftones, brushstrokes – depending on what I think works best) though you can downgrade this to a solid color if you'd prefer.You can upgrade accent backgrounds to a complex background, which is a proper, painted setting. The price depends on the complexity and detail of what you're envisioning. Please note that I take a stylized approach to these backgrounds and that there is a limit to their detail and realism. Look through my published art to see if my kind of background works for you!

what to include in your request

The clearer your description of the character(s), pose and setting, the better! Always include references if possible. For characters that I am unfamiliar with, more than one angle is preferred. If no image of your character exists, make sure your description is very detailed or send me a picture of a face-claim. While I can improvise, coming up with character designs myself is not included in my prices and would have to be negotiated.Beyond physical descriptions, think about what you'd like to see! What is the mood of the image? Is the lighting soft or dramatic? Are colors cool-toned or warm? Do you want me to re-create the style/mood of one of my previous artworks?While a good description is important, please remember that the final product will always be my artistic interpretation of the information you provide.
